Frequently Asked Questions

What social media platforms does this tool preview?

The tool previews how your page will appear when shared on Twitter (X), Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms that support Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags. Each platform has slightly different card layouts.

What are Open Graph meta tags?

Open Graph meta tags (og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url) are HTML meta elements that control how your content appears when shared on social media. They define the title, description, image, and URL that social platforms display in their link previews.

How do Twitter Cards differ from Open Graph?

Twitter uses its own meta tags (twitter:card, twitter:title, etc.) but falls back to Open Graph tags if Twitter tags are missing. The tool lets you toggle between Twitter and Open Graph previews to ensure both render correctly.

What image size works best for social previews?

For Facebook and LinkedIn, images should be at least 1200x630 pixels. For Twitter, the recommended Summary Card with Large Image size is 2:1 aspect ratio, such as 1200x600 or 800x400. The preview helps you see if images display properly.

Why is my image not showing in the preview?

Common reasons include missing or incorrect og:image URL, image files smaller than 200x200 pixels, unsupported image formats, or caching by the social platform. Use absolute URLs and ensure images meet minimum size requirements.
